Developing AI Powered Budgeting
Finroy, founded by Bill Murphy—well known in Canadian FinTech for scaling and exiting Wagepoint—had spent two years developing a product for accountants and small business owners but struggled to find product-market fit or secure investment. Recognizing the need for a new direction, Murphy engaged me to evaluate the product, provide a clear strategy, and help position the company for its next phase.

Reimagining Social Impact Collaboration
Catalist, founded by Vincent Arena, set out with an ambitious mission: to help social impact organizations collaborate more effectively, reduce inefficiencies, and share resources, knowledge, and access in order to accelerate meaningful ventures. Despite a strong vision, the initial MVP struggled to deliver the dynamic and interactive experience needed to bring this mission to life.

Lane was building an all-in-one platform to help property teams manage communications, services, and experiences across commercial buildings. With rapid growth and an expanding feature set, the product needed stronger structure, consistency, and clarity to support scale.

Awake Labs: Wearable Tech for Anxiety Monitoring
Awake Labs set out to commercialize hospital-based IP by developing a wearable tool that could help track and manage anxiety in real time. Built on research from Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital, the system needed to be translated into a usable product that could support individuals with cognitive disabilities, particularly those on the autism spectrum.

Product Strategy for United Nations Innovation Teams
The UN’s Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) wanted to accelerate progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Its impact teams were eager to experiment with new approaches, but the traditional policy cycle was too slow, and there was no structured process for turning ideas into actionable products and solutions.

Building Better Dashboards Through UX Training
Bell Canada’s data analytics team was responsible for delivering dashboards and insights to senior executives. While the team was technically strong, they needed new approaches to ensure that dashboards communicated clearly, supported decision-making, and aligned with executive needs.
